В настоящее время важное практическое значение приобретают вопросы физического развития (ФР) детей, проживающих в различных социально-экологических условиях. Немногочисленность научных работ о ФР сельских школьников определяет необходимость методического обеспечения мониторинга ФР указанной когорты.</p><p>Цель исследования — провести сравнительную оценку показателей физического развития городских и сельских школьников Иркутской области. </p></sec><sec><title>Материал и методы</title><p>Материал и методы. Обследовано 6850 школьников 7–17 лет, проживающих в промышленных центрах и сельских районах Иркутской области. Исследованы тотальные размеры тела: длина и масса тела, окружность грудной клетки. </p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. Городские школьники вне зависимости от пола отличаются от сельских сверстников большими среднегрупповыми параметрами длины тела (p = 0,000) и меньшими величинами окружности грудной клетки (р = 0,002). Масса тела у городских и сельских мальчиков имела близкие значения, за исключением возрастных групп 9 (p = 0,000), 12 (p = 0,000) и 16 лет (p = 0,005). Сельские школьницы опережают городских ровесниц по массе тела (p = 0,016). Городские мальчики в 14–17 лет отличаются от девочек более высоким ростом и массой тела, в 7–17 лет — большей окружностью грудной клетки (за исключением 10-, 11- и 14-летних). Выявлены некоторые отличия от общих закономерностей, свойственных данному периоду онтогенеза: у сельских школьников установлено три перекрёста ростовых кривых. </p></sec><sec><title>Обсуждение</title><p>Обсуждение. Материалы исследования свидетельствуют о том, что процессы формирования тотальных размеров тела у сельских и городских школьников отличаются. Оценка корреляционных соотношений параметров длины тела с другими тотальными размерами показала, что у школьников в различные возрастные периоды проявляются признаки десинхронизации процессов физического развития.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Полученные результаты являются обоснованием для разработки отдельных стандартов для оценки физического развития сельских школьников.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Introduction</title><p>Introduction. Physical development is one of the informative indices characterizing the health of the child population and reflecting the adverse effects of various environmental factors.</p></sec><sec><title>Aim</title><p>Aim. To carry out a comparative assessment of physical development indices both in urban and rural schoolchildren in the Irkutsk region.</p></sec><sec><title>Material and methods</title><p>Material and methods. The total body dimensions were studied. </p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. Urban schoolchildren differ from rural peers in large body length indices (p = 0.000) and smaller values of the circumference of the chest (p = 0.002). The body weight of urban and rural boys had similar values, except for the age groups 9 (p = 0,000), 12 (p = 0,000) and 16 years (p = 0,005). Rural schoolgirls outpaced urban peers by their body weight (р = 0,016). Some differences from general patterns characteristic for the given period of ontogenesis are revealed: in rural schoolchildren, three crosses of growth curves are established. Correlation ratio of body length indices with other total sizes showed schoolchildren to have signs of desynchronization of physical development processes in different age periods. </p></sec><sec><title>Discussion</title><p>Discussion. The materials of the study indicate the processes of formation of total body size of rural and urban schoolchildren to differ.
